When dressing tools cannot be changed easily or frequently and yet a lower cost tool is preferred, consider layered point dressers. Layered points are manufactured so that as the first diamond is consumed, a new layer and a fresh diamond is exposed. These tools are not resettable and are recommended for straight dressing.
